According to tuniscope website, the conference will begin on Thursday, June 27, and run until Saturday, June 29.
The Economics and Management Faculty of the University of Sfax has organized the event in cooperation with the Zakat Society and the Islamic Economy Association of Tunisia.
More than 80 economic and religious experts and directors of Islamic financial institutions from different countries, especially Muslim states, will attend the conference to discuss different issues in the field of Islamic economy, social justice, risk management, Islamic insurance, innovations in Islamic finance, etc.
The Sfax conference will also investigate topics like the importance of Zakat and Waqf in scoail development, role of Islamic economy in reducing poverty and unemployment in Muslim countries, and ways for developing Halal markets and Islamic banking.
Titled “Islamic Economy and Regional development”, the first edition of the international conference was held in June, 2012, in Sfax.
