Quran, Prayers, Etrat Competition for Students Begins in Mashhad

The final stage of 31st national Quran, Prayers and Etrat Competition for school students began in the holy city of Mashhad this morning.
Announcing this, Director General of the Education Ministry’s Quran, Prayers and Etrat Department Mohammad Bonyadi said some 9 million students took part in the first stage of the contest that was held at the school level.
He added that following the school, regional, and provincial stages, 7000 students have made it to the final stage held at the national level.
Mr. Bonyadi noted that the national stage in held in the categories of Quran memorization, Quran recitation, Quran interpretation, Nahj-ul-Balaqa memorization, Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh, Adhan (call to prayers), and Maddahi (reciting eulogies in praise of the Infallibles (AS)).
He went on to say that some of the best seminary and university scholars have been invited to oversee this edition of the contest.
