Winners of Quran Contest for Urdu Speaking Seminarians Honored

Top participants in the 14th edition of Quran memorization contest for Urdu-speaking seminary students were awarded at a ceremony on June 28 in the holy city of Qom.
Talking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Mojtaba Razawi, organizer of this edition of the competition said that 73 Urdu-speaking seminarians competed in two groups of male and female participants in six categories.
Besides a copy of the Holy Quran, winners of each category were awarded trophies and financial aids for pilgrimage.
In memorization of two Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran, Seyyed Abedin Razwi, Zeynab Razwi and Zahra Negari won the first to the third ranks respectively.
The first three winners in memorization of the Holy Quran's five Juzes respectively were Ma’soumeh Salehi, Raziyeh Ja’fari and Medhat Zahra Naqwi.
Three top memorizers of 10 Juzes of the Holy Quran were Maryam Fatemeh, Mohaddethe Jannati and Mohammad Ma’rouf Heydar.
Winner of the fourth category of the contest were Fatemeh Abedi who succeeded to memorize 15 Juzes of the Holy Quran.
In memorization of 20 Juzes, Sajed Ali Hejazi and Mohammad Akbar were the top participants and Abdul Karim Abbasi, Naqib Heydar and Zahra Abedi were announced as the best memorizers of the entire Quran.
