Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution lauded efforts by President Ahmadinejad and his cabinet in promoting the slogans of the Islamic Revolution.
In a meeting with the outgoing president and his cabinet on Sunday, July 14, Imam Khamenei said feeling confidence in expressing the revolutionary objectives, motivations and methods in international arenas was among the administration’s major works, the website of the Supreme Leader’s office reported.
His Eminence referred to all-out efforts and extensive world and promotion of revolutionary slogans both in the country and abroad as some of the praiseworthy characteristics of Mr. Ahmadinejad’s administration.
The Supreme Leader pointed to attempts by opposition groups, foreign media and some in the country to ignore the government’s endeavors, saying it is important that these endeavors be introduced to the society.
Imam Khamenei said in the past eight years, everyone felt and realized that the president and his colleagues endured hardships and worked more extensively and more speedily than all other administrations.
His Eminence regarded mentioning and boosting revolutionary slogans as necessary, saying that the counter-revolutionary front has made huge attempts to undermine these slogans but all in vain.
The Supreme Leader advised the cabinet members to maintain their revolutionary approach in future activities.
Elsewhere in his statements, Imam Khamenei quoted from Imam Ali’s (AS) Nahj-ul-Balaqa and urged everyone to do the Wajibat (injunctions) and stay away from Muharramat (prohibitions).
Prior to the Supreme Leaser’s statements, outgoing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad presented a report about the achievements of his administration and thanked Imam Khamenei for his support and guidance.
President Ahmadinejad will be succeeded by President-elect Hassan Rohani who won 50.7 percent of the vote in the June 14 presidential election to secure an outright victory.
