Dubai Int’l Quran Award to Kick off Today

The 17th edition of the International Holy Quran Competition in Dubai, the UAE, will get underway this evening, July 17.
According to al-Sahrq daily, 89 Quran memorizers from different countries are in Dubai to take part in the competition.
It is held in three age groups of below 15, 15 to 25 and above 25 years of age and also for prayer leaders of mosques.
14-year-old Milad Asheghi represents Iran in the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.
The competition’s jury panel is made up of prominent Quran experts including Amer Larabi from Algeria, Sheikh Ebrahim Al-Khizr from Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Rafei Rezvan from Egypt, Muhammad Razi Seniying from Thailand and Mustafa Atila Aghdimir from Turkey.
