Jordan’s 21st Int’l Quran Competition to Kick off Today

The 21st International Quran Competition in Jordan will start in the capital city of Amman today.
Titled Al-Hashemi, the competition is organized by the country’s Awqaf Ministry, Al-Dastour daily reported.
It is held for men in the categories of memorization of 10 and 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran and memorization of the entire Quran along with recitation and interpretation.
According to Awqaf Minister Muhammad Nouh Al-Quzat, representatives of 43 countries will attend the contest.
Mohammad Khakpour will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the memorization of 20 Juzes category.
