Int’l Quds Day to Be Commemorated in Finland
On the occasion of the International Quds Day, a forum will be held on August 1 by the Islamic Center of Finland.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the forum will be organized to commemorate the international day and to announce solidarity with Palestinian people.
The Fatemeh Zahra (SA) Islamic Center in Helsinki will host the program from 6 p.m. local time.
In August 1979, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace) declared the last Friday of Ramadan as the International Quds Day, and called on Muslims across the world to mark the annual occasion by holding street rallies.
Like previous years, millions of people around the world will this year show their support for the people of Palestine and will call for an end to Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands.
