News ID: 2583221
The Committee for Confronting Islamophobia in France is to launch a new plan to fight anti-Islamic actions in the country.
The new plan was launched after a group of mountaineers climbed the Mont Blanc in a move to show their protest against islamophobia, discrimination, injustice, intolerance and hatred.
The Islamophobia Monitoring and Action Network (IMAN) plan has been devised to be implemented not only in France but across Europe.
The plan that has been confirmed by the European Union will be launched in Brussels on September 22.
In recent years, especially since the September 11, 2001 incidents, Islamophobia has rapidly grown in France and other European countries.
