Imam Sadeq (AS) Conference Held in Iraq

The 3rd Imam Sadeq (AS) annual conference was held on Monday, September 2, in the Iraqi province of Maysan.
It was organized by the Shahid Mehrab Institute with the participation of religious scholars, seminarians, literary figures, and scholars from different parts of Iraq, Buratha news agency reported.
20 papers by Iraqi scholars and researcher were presented at the conference during the morning and evening sessions.
Addressing the event, President of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim read out a message by Sheikh Farahan Al-Saedi, deputy head of the Shahid Mehrab Institute, in which he called on all scholars and thinkers to do more to introduce the character of Imam Sadeq (AS) to the world.
Al-Hakim underlined the need for benefiting from the Seerah of Imam Sadeq (AS) to resolve the problems and surmount challenges.
He also called for more intellectual events like the Imam Sadeq (AS) annual conference to further introduce the teachings and Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
Monday, September 2, concurrent with the 25th day of the month of Sha’aban on the Hijri lunar calendar, marked the anniversary of Imam Sadeq’s (AS) martyrdom.
