Educational Course for Quranic Officials Begins in Karbala

An educational course for Quranic officials has started in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.
Beginning on Tuesday, September 3, it has been orgaznied with the Quran Institute affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS), Al-Kafil website reported.
Prominent Quranic figure Hassanayn Al-Halw oversees the course, which is in line with the efforts by the Astan aimed at promoting the culture and teachings of the Holy Quran in society.
The ten-day course will include discussions on Sowt, Lahn, and different styles of recitation of the Holy Quran.
The Quran Institute of the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) is also active in organizing Quran recitation sessions and national and international Quran competitions and festivals.
