Hajj, Golden Opportunity for Defending Islam
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs said Hajj is a golden opportunity for defending Islam.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Qazi-Asgar made the remark while addressing a ceremony held on Tuesday, September 10, to unveil the new Hajj virtual education system.
The system, which provides education and instructions on Hajj rituals in Arabic, English and Azeri Turkish, was unveiled at the auditorium of the Hajj and pilgrimage Organization in Tehran.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qazi-Asgar hailed the inauguration of the new system and said new means and technologies should be used in all areas including in promotion of the culture of Hajj.
He said the cyberspace provides a good opportunity to inform the pilgrims and people in general about the rituals and teachings of Hajj.
Informing Muslims about differences among Islamic schools of thought and raising awareness about the un-Islamic and inhumane activities of the Takfiris and their crimes can also be achieved through the cyberspace, he noted.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qazi-Asgar added that people should realize that these people are neither Shias nor Sunnis but they are the enemies of Islam.
He said activities like inauguration of the Hajj virtual education system should spread in Islamic countries.
The senior cleric also said that the two languages of Malay and Urdu will soon be added to the languages of the website of Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in Hajj.
A number of other Hajj officials as well as several Sunni Hajj administrators were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
