The Islamic Center of Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city, will hold the event on September 27-28, Algerian daily Al-Khabar reported.
This edition of the competition will be organized on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Zagreb Mosque’s Inauguration.
Representatives of different European countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Turkey, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Britain, Finland, the Netherlands and Croatia will be competing in the Quranic event.
Top reciters in the European contest will be introduced at the awarding ceremony slated for Friday, September 27.
The winners will receive special awards as well as certificates of honor at the closing ceremony.
