According to Lesoleil website, the Al-Sunnah 2 Network airs programs in Wolof, Hausa, Arabic, French and English.
The network’s forerunner, Al-Sunnah 1, started broadcasting programs in 2011 for viewers in Niger and Nigeria.
Since its programs about Quranic and Islamic issues were received very well by people in the two countries, it was decided that Al-Sunnah 2 should be launched, as well.
The TV’s directors say that several other local African languages including Bambara, Fulani, and Zarma will be added to the list of Al-Sunnah 2 langauges.
The Islamic network’s programs are broadcast via Eutelsat satellite provider. It has opened studios in many West African countries.
