300 Students Competing in Science Ministry’s Quran Competition

Secretary of the 28th Quran and Etrat Competition for University Students said 300 students will be attending the national level of the contest.
Fatemeh Dana told IQNA that the competition will be hosted by Allameh Tabatabaei University on October 1-4.
It will be held in the categories of memorization (at four levels), Tarteel and Tahghigh recitation of the Quran in the oral section as well as Quranic concepts, Quran translation, and the Seerah of the Infallibles (AS) in the written section, she stated.
Dana noted that there is also a research, art and literary section including such categories as article writing, calligraphy, poetry, story writing, blogging, etc.
She said the works submitted to the research, art and literary section are being evaluated and judged by experts in each field.
She added that the national Quranic competition aims to promote acquaintance with the Word of God among university students and spread a Quranic atmosphere in the country’s academic centers.
Elevating the level of Quranic and Islamic colure among students, identifying the Quranic talents, and encouraging Quranic activities in universities are among other objectives of the event, Dana went on to say.
The competition will be opened in a ceremony at Allameh Tabatabaei University’s Faculty of Theology on Tuesday, October 1.
