Muslims National Congress Held in Crimea

The fifth national congress of Crimean Muslims was held on September 28 in Simferopol, capital of the Republic of Crimea.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in the Republic announced that the program was held with the participation of Ukrainian and Crimean Muftis, scholars, clerics and imams of mosques of the country.
The national event was also attended by representative of the office, deputy of the head of the country’s National Assembly and members and representatives of 350 Islamic associations of Crimea.
Activities and programs of the religious office and Muftiat Council of the country during the recent five years and the development of Islamic education, training and Halal industries in Crimea were investigated at the program.
The participants at the congress selected Amir Ali Haji Ablayev as the Grand Mufti of the republic for the second time.
