Quran Memorization Contest Planned in Russia
A Quran memorization contest will be held for teenagers and youth aged from 12 to 25 at the Grand Mosque of Ivanovo, administrative center of Ivanovo Province, Russia.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the Office for Muslims’ Affairs of the province announced on September 30 that the 7th edition of the regional contest will be organized by the religious office.
Muftiat Council of Russia and Municipality of the city will also cooperate in organization of the competition.
Memorization and recitation of the 30th Juz (part) of the Holy Quran, the 29th and 30th Juzes and memorization and recitation of the last three Juzes of the Holy Quran are the three categories of the contest.
Registration for this edition of the contest is underway at the religious office of the province.
