Supreme Leader’s Guidelines, Precious Support for Country’s Diplomatic Apparatus
Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution provide precious support for the country’s diplomatic apparatus.
Speaking in the opening session of the Majlis on Sunday morning, he referred to Imam Khamenei’s yesterday statements about the government’s diplomatic moves and said it is necessary that the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader must be followed closely.
He urged the executive officials to also pay attention to elevating the country’s economic capabilities and moving toward economic self-sufficiency along with the diplomatic overtures.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Larijani pointed to the anniversary of Ima Javad (AS) martyrdom and said although Imam Javad (AS) was young when he was martyred by the Abbasyd caliphs, he held scientific debates that included profound ethical, jurisprudential and theological teachings.
The Majlis speaker further recalled yesterday’s terrorist bombing in Kadhamayn, Iraq, in which a large number of pilgrims to Imam Javad (A)S holy shrine were martyred or wounded, saying that the attack once again highlighted the danger of Takfiri and Salafi currents for the region and for Muslims.
