Special Mourning Programs Planned in Islamic Center of England

TEHRAN (IQNA) - On the occasion of the demise anniversary of the Holy Prophet (AS) in the last ten days of Safar (the second month in the lunar Hijri calendar), special mourning programs will be held at the Islamic Center of England.


According to the public relations office of the center, the programs also mark the martyrdom anniversaries of Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Reza (AS).

Quran recitation, religious speeches, elegies and mourning rituals are parts of the programs to be held in English, Arabic, Persian and Urdu.

Iranian cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hussein Husseini will present speeches in Persian.

Speeches in English will be presented by Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Sa’eed Bahmanpur.

 The center’s special programs for speakers of Arabic will be addressed by Sheikh Munir Al-Turaihi and Sheikh Abdul Zuhrah Al-Bandar.

Hojat-ol-Islam Husseini will also participate and present speeches at the programs planned by some other Islamic centers of Britain such as the Islamic Center of Glasgow, Manchester, New Castel and Birmingham.

Muslims and Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) devotees all over the world will organize mourning ceremonies on the anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) demise and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan (AS) on the 28th of Safar (December 21) as well as the martyrdom of Imam Reza (AS) on the 30th of the month (December 23).
