2nd Day of Quran Competition for Students Begins with Raziei’s Recitation

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second day of the 5th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students got underway earlier today with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by prominent Iranian Qari Qassem Raziei.

Representatives of Macedonia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Australia, Iraq, Lebanon and India will perform their recitation in the competition’s recitation category tonight.
In the category of memorization, contenders from Lebanon, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iran, Tajikistan and Mauritania will answer the jury panel’s questions.
Tonight’s programs also include Tawasheeh (religious songs) performances and recitation of verses from the Quran by eminent Indonesian Qari Aqil Hussain Munawar.
The international Quranic event will run until Sunday, January 4, at the conference hall of Tehran’s Milad Tower.
