Quran Competition Held in Utrecht, Netherlands

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A competition on memorization and Tarteel recitation of the Quran was held in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

According to IINA, 50 participants competed in separate sections of the competition for men and women.
It was organized by the al-Meshkat Society in cooperation with the World Association of Quran Memorization.
Quran expert Sheikh Ezeddin Qarata headed the jury panel of the contest.
The closing ceremony was held at the city’s al-Salam Mosque with the participation of envoys and Muslim figures from a number of Muslim countries.
Speakers at the ceremony thanked the organizers of the contest and encouraged Quran memorizers and reciters to make efforts to implement sublime Quranic teachings in life.
