According to meknespress website, Missour Grand Mosque of Fès-Bouleman region in northern Morocco will host the competition.
It will be organized by Morocco’s regional Representative of Islamic Affairs with the aim of identifying top Quran reciters and memorizers of the country to compete at the King Muhammad VI Award in the holy month of Ramadan.
Categories of the competition include memorization of the entire Quran with Tarteel and Tajweed principles, memorization of at least five Hizbs (half a Juz) of the Quran and Tajweed in Al-Maghribiya style, and memorization of at least five Hizbs with Tajweed in Al-Mahsrighiya style.
Those Moroccans aged from 7 to 40 are allowed to participate at the competition.
