“Imam Hussein (AS)” Quranic College to Be Set Up in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) - The construction project of “Imam Hussein (AS)” Specialized Quranic College in the holy city of Karbala began with The Strategic Investment Division of the Astan (custodianship) of Husseini holy shrine.


According to the information website of the Astan, it is one of the greatest projects of the custodianship planned with the aim of providing Iraqi people with better services in Quranic fields and disseminating religious and cultural sciences.

It will also host students of human sciences from different parts of the country.

Heydar Abbas Abdulreza, supervisor of the Quranic project, said in this respect that “Khayrat Al-Sebtin” Company affiliated to the holy shrine’s custodianship is implementing the project.

He added that it will take about 36 months to complete and approximately costs 80,000,000,000 Iraqi Dinars.

“The Quranic college will be set up on the Karbala-Baghdad road, 5 kilometers to the center of the holy city of Karbala.”

He also noted that the college will have two separate buildings for male and female students.

Quranic sciences and Islamic studies will be among the courses of the new educational center.
