According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the competition has been organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Al-Karim Center of the city.
Sa’eed Tousi, internationally-known Iranian Quran reciter, is also present in this edition of the competition.
Quran recitation, Adhan and Tawasheeh for male participants, Tarteel recitation for female participants, and Quran memorization and concepts for both groups are the categories of the competition, which will conclude on April 5.
Among the objectives of the competition are dissemination of the culture and teachings of the Holy Quran in European countries, providing an opportunity for promotion of Quran activists and exchange of experience among top Quran reciters and memorizers and creating unity in the Quranic society in Europe.
The competition has been organized for two age groups including participants less than 16 and above 16.
First to the third rank winners in recitation category will be respectively awarded a Hajj pilgrimage package, 1200 Euros and 1000 Euros.
Top participants will also represent their countries in various international Quran competitions.
In the memorization category, the participants compete in memorization of the entire Quran, 20, 10 and 5 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
Competition in the Quranic concepts is held in written form and contenders should be familiar with translation of the entire Quran (in Persian, English, Dutch and Turkish).
