Quranic Workshops Held in Kuwait

TEHRAN (IQNA) - A number of educational Quranic workshops were organized on the sidelines of the 6th edition of international Quranic memorization and recitation competition in Kuwait.


According to Al-Watan newspaper, Abdullatif Al-Kunduri, an official with the organizing committee of this edition of the competition, said that various programs were held for the participants to get them familiar with different parts of the country and its cultural heritage.

Among the programs were some educational workshops organized for the Quran activists.

“Application of Technology in Quran Teaching” and “Emotions Management with the Help of Quran’s Verses” were the title of the workshops respectively held for male and female contestants.

“Surah Fatiha; its reading and meanings” for minorities residing in Kuwait (boys) and “Quranic virtues in daily life” for boys and girls are two other workshops planned on the sidelines of the competition.

The sixth edition of Kuwait International Holy Quran Award began in the Persian Gulf country on March 30.

100 Quran reciters and memorizers from some 60 countries are competing in the Quranic event, which will run until April 8.

It is annually organized by the Quranic Affairs Department of Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
