In a meeting with the participants, jury members and guests of Iran’s 32nd International Holy Quran Competition on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that for solving the problems, the Muslim world should withstand the impositions and bullying of the “modern ignorance”.
The Supreme Leader regretted that the Muslim world is suffering from weakness, poverty, differences and civil wars today and said the only solution is obedience to the Quran and standing up against modern ignorance.
His Eminence stressed the need for the presence of the Quran in all aspects of Muslims’ personal and social life, adding that in order to reach this sublime objective, two factors are necessary, namely insight and determination.
Ayatollah Khamenei further referred to recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran as a preliminary step toward forming a society based on Quranic tenets.
His Eminence hailed the growing trend of the society’s connection with the Quran as promising and highlighted the need for the officials to pay more attention to Quranic affairs.
The Supreme Leader went on to say that moving toward the Quran has started in Islamic societies and that the Islamic Awakening movement is one its outcomes.
