Hegemonic Powers Seek to Undermine Muslim World
He made the remark in a meeting with a number of scholars and officials from Syria, Lebanon and Palestine who were in Iran to attend the 26th anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini (RA), the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Larijani added that the arrogant powers want to weaken Muslim nations by giving rise to Takfiri groups in countries like Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
He underlined that the only way for saving the region in the face of enemy plots is the awakening of Muslim nations, enhancement of Islamic unity and continued resistance against the Zionist regime.
Larijani also reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for the Palestinian nation’s resistance against Israel.
He went on to stress the role of Muslim scholars in raising the awareness of new generations of Muslim about the ominous plots hatched against the Islamic world.
During the meeting, a number of the participating scholars thanked Iran for its unwavering support for the people of Palestine.
