Quran Experts from 9 Countries Adjudicating at Malaysia Int’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Quran experts from Malaysia and eight other countries form the panel of judges in the 57th edition of the Southeast Asian country’s international Quran competition.

 According to IQNA dispatches, Malaysia and Egypt each have 4 representatives in the panel, which is chaired by Haj Othman Mustafa.

The rest of the judges are from Jordan, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Lebanon, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia.


Prominent Quran recite and expert Sheikh Abdul Fattah Tarouti is among the Egyptian members of the panel.


The 57th edition of Malaysia’s International Holy Quran Recitation and Memorization Competition was launched in a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday evening.


Participants from over 70 countries are attending the five-day Quranic event, which is held in two categories of memorization and recitation of the Quran.


The theme of this year’s contest is “Unity the Pulse of a Nation’s Transformation.


Mohsen Hajihassani Kargar will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the recitation category of Malaysia’s international Quranic contest.
