Iran’s Quranic University to Launch Branches Abroad

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Chancellor of Iran’s University of Quranic Sciences and Teachings said the university plans to open Quranic colleges in a number of Asian and European countries.


Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Abedi said these countries have requested the university to establish branches there.



They include India, Germany, Pakistan, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates, he told IRNA.



Hojat-ol-Islam Abedi added that preparations are underway for developing the university’s branches abroad.



He noted that the University of Quranic Sciences and Teachings has 22 Quranic colleges in the country.



He went on to say that the university also plans to introduce new Quranic majors including ‘Quran and management’, ‘Quran and economics’, and ‘Quran and philosophy’.
