Int’l Quran Contest for Kids Held in Jeddah

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international Quran competition for children was held in the Saudi city of Jeddah on the weekend.


29 young Quran memorizers from 13 countries tool part in the contest, which was organized by the World Association of Quran Memorization, tafsir.net website reported.



 



They were from countries like Somalia, Chad, Pakistan, Jordan, Ethiopia, Algeria, Indonesia, Mozambique, Egypt and India.



 



The competition was aimed at promoting the level of Quran memorization in the participating countries.



 



Also, a competition titled “al-Maher”, which featured understanding and contemplating the Quran, was held by the association with the participation of representatives from 22 countries.



 



According to the association, the contest aimed to encourage Quran activists to make more efforts in Quranic fields.
