Winners of Nat’l Quran Competition Honored in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Top participants of the 12th edition of national Quran reading competition in Iraq were honored in a ceremony held on June 30 in Baghdad, the capital.


According to Qaf news agency, the competition was organized by Al-Iraqiyya Quranic Institute at Sadr Conference Hall in the capital city with the participation of 30 Quran reciters from different provinces of Iraq.



Tahir Muslim from Baghdad, Qeysar Sabah from Salahuddin Governorate and Ali Javad from Baghdad respectively won the first to the third ranks.



The 12th edition of the national Quranic event was held from June 28 to 30.



The judging board of the competition was headed by Sheikh Rafi’ Al-‘Ameri, director of the institute.



Karim Yasir and Abbas Matar were the members of the board in Telawah category, and Abbas Al-Minshadawi evaluated the observation of Lahn principles in the competition.



Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Abduli and Sahib Al-‘Abidi were other members of the board in Waqf and Ibtida and Ra’d al-Fartusi and Adil Al-Ziadi evaluated the contestants' observance of the principles of Sowt.
