Iran’s Cultural Center Honors Veteran Indonesian Quran Activists

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Jakarta, Indonesian a ceremony honored a number of the Southeast Asian country’s veteran Quran activists.

The ceremony was held earlier this week in cooperation with Indonesia’s Union of Quran Reciters and Memorizers.


Present at the event were Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia Valiollah Mohammadi Nasrabadi, Iranian Cultural Attaché Hojatollah Ebrahimian, prominent Iranian Quran master Abdol Rasul Abayi, and a number of Indonesian Quranic figures and scholars, the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) reported.


In an address, Ebrahimian highlighted the development of Quranic activities in Iran since the 1979 victory of the Islamic Revolution.


He also hailed the cooperation between Iran’s cultural center and Indonesia’s Union of Quran Reciters and Memorizers in holding joint programs, including those held during the holy month of Ramadan.


Elsewhere in the ceremony, three Indonesian Quran activists received gifts and certificates of honor.
