Hundreds of plans are underway in Germany for helping the refugee families and it is a wrong accusation that Muslims don’t support refugees, it said.
The Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) and Muslims Central Council in Germany have also announced Muslims’ readiness to help the refugees.
A member of the union, which supervises activities of more than 900 associations affiliated to mosques, said that the organization has received many donations, including clothes, toys, bicycles, foods, etc., from Muslims to be distributed among the refugee families.
He added that the youth associations and sport centers also cooperate to help the refugees live a normal life and invite them in their activities.
The official said members of the associations affiliated to the council cooperate as translators and provide different services for the refugees.
Some of the prayer rooms in the associations also host the refugees at nights and provide them with Quran copies, praying rugs and Halal foods.
