A number of Shia and Sunni Muslim scholars and intellectuals including Maulana Hashmi, Amir of the Islamic Society of Quetta, Maulana Achakzai, professor of Baluchistan University, Qari Abdul Rahman, head of the Islamic Affairs in Quetta, Qari Ata-ol-Rahman, Friday prayers leader of Sunni Muslims in Quetta, Hojat-ol-Islam Juma Asadi, head of the Imam Sadiq (AS) Association, etc. participated at the program.
Serena Hotel in Quetta hosted the seminar which was also attended by Yahyawi, head of the Iranian embassy and Husseini, head of the Iranian Cultural Center in Quetta.
Referring to the Holy Quran’s verses and Nabawi Hadiths, the speakers at the seminar stressed the necessity of Muslims unity against the world tyranny and Zionism and the need to avoid division and violence between Shias and Sunnis.
A book-reading competition on the Islamic Unity Week was also organized at the Iranian Cultural Center in Quetta on the auspicious occasion.
"The Forty Hadiths” by Imam Khomeini (RA) was the source of the competition held on December 29.
