145 Quran Activists to Attend Int’l Quran competition in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egypt’s Ministry of endowments has received applications from 145 Quran memorizers and Qaris from different parts of the world for the 23rd edition of international Quran competition in the north African country.


According to Al-Youm Al-Sabi’, the ministry announced that Sharm el-Sheikh city in South Sinai Governorate will host this edition of international competition on Quran memorization and recitation in April.

It will be organized in four categories including memorization of the entire Quran with Telawat principles and Quranic sciences, memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of Quran with Telawat principles for non-Arab participants, memorization of the entire Quran for teenagers aged less than 12 and memorization of 3 Juzes for the disabled aged less than 21.

Those willing to compete in the first two categories should be less than 25 years of age and should not be the first-rank winner of the previous international Quran competitions.
