Samih Ahmed Khalid al-Athamina, who has served as member of the board of judges in many international Quran competitions, added that the progress of Iran’s international Quran competition year after year is outstanding.

He described the Islamic Republic’s Quranic event as the mother of Quran competitions in the Muslim world.
Al-Athamina made the remarks in a specialized session held in Tehran on Sunday to discuss the regulations of the international Quran competition of Iran.
He further referred to the Islamic Republic’s victory in the nuclear negotiations with world powers and congratulated the Iranian nation for bringing the world arrogance to its knees and having the "cruel sanctions” against Iran terminated.
Iran and the six world powers (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany) in July last year finalized a comprehensive nuclear agreement.
The deal, which came into force on January 16, terminated all nuclear-related anti-Iran sanctions.
