According to Mohammad Mehdi Momeni, in charge of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Schools in Europe and North America, the closing ceremony was held at the Islamic center on Sunday.
He told IQNA that Hojat-ol-Islam Torabi, deputy of the center, addressed the ceremony and a number of papers on the theme of Hazrat Zahra’s (SA) martyrdom were presented at the event.
Later, winners of different categories of the competition received their awards, he said.
Momeni added that the contest was received very well by Iranians residing in European countries, expressing hope that more such events will be held in the future.
He also thanked Iran’s Education Ministry and the Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center of Hamburg for cooperation in holding the contest and IQNA for its coverage of the event.
The final stage of the Quran competition for Iranian students residing in Europe was held on March 4 and 5 at the Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center.
60 students from 15 European countries including Germany, Britain, Cyprus, France, Albania, Greece, Austria and Serbia took part in the competition.
