According to KUNA, the ceremony was held on May 7 in cooperation with "Marhama” Charity Association of Tunisia.
Addressing the program, Ali Al-Thafiri, Kuwaiti ambassador to Tunisia, said that the project is one of the best and most valuable activities of the organization.
He expressed hope that the project will be implemented in different parts of the world.
The "Al-Shafi’” Quran memorization project was launched in 2011 and is being implemented in 21 countries.
More than 4500 participants in the project have learned the Holy Quran by heart so far.
The International Islamic Charity Organization is based in Kuwait and headed by Abdullah Al-Ma’touq, advisor to the Amir of Kuwait.
