THERAN (IQNA) – The 3rd edition of “Al-Kawthar” Quranic course on Tajweed and Quran reading principles has been held for women servants of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine in Najaf, Iraq.

According to the website of the holy shrine’s Astan (custodianship), the Quran Section of Women’s Affairs Office of the Astan has organized the course at Al-Kawthar Quranic Institute.
Anwar Al-Husnawi, who is in charge of the section, said that the main objective of the educational program is to promote the religious and Quranic knowledge of women.
The participants will also memorize verses of the Quran and get a deeper knowledge of the teachings and concepts of the Divine Book.
She added that this edition of the course will continue for a month and that the classes are held 6 hours a day.
