Quran Recitations by Prominent Qaris on Egypt TV
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egypt’s TV will broadcast top Quran recitations by some of the leading Qaris of the country during the holy month of Ramadan.
There will be a program titled "al-Tilawat al-Nadira” (rare recitations) where recitations by some of the greatest Egyptian Qaris of all times will be aired.
Abdul Aziz Omran, the program’s producer and director, told al-Joumhouria daily that Egyptian people can enjoy the recitations during the holy month.
He said the recitations are by masters like Kamil Yusuf al-Bahtimi, Muhammad Sediq al-Minshawi, Sheikh Mustafa Isameil, Taha Mousa Hassan, Abdul Basit 'Abd us-Samad, Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil al-Hasri and Mahmoud Ali al-Bina.
Egypt’s Quran reciters are among the most renowned around the Muslim world.
The holy month of Ramadan, the month of fasting for over 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide will start on June 5 this year.
