Iran to Send Teenage Memorizer to Jordan Int’l Quran Contest
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Ali Asadi Seifar will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran at the 24th edition of Jordan’s international Quran contest.
Asadi Seifar, who is a teenager, had competed for Iran in the memorization category of Sudan’s 7th international Quran competition last year.
He had come second in the 38th national Quran competition of Iran held in Alborz province.
Jordan’s 24th international Quran contest will be held in the Arab country’s capital city on June 25- July 1 (Ramadan 19 to 25).
It is annually organized in Amman in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 25, 20, 15, and 10 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
The contestants in all categories are required to observe the rules of Tajweed and pronunciation.
In 2015, Mohammad Reza Ahmadi represented Iran in the memorization of the entire Quran category of Jordan’s Quranic event.
