TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Holy month of Ramadan 2016 has stepped into its last Ashrah (last 10 days).

6-day Eid al-Fitr Holidays Expected in Pakistan

Muslims around the world along with fasting and keeping with their religious duties have also begun preparation for Eid al-Fitr 2016.

Like many other Islamic countries, Eid al-Fitr holidays are also announced as public holidays in Pakistan.

The holy month of Ramadan 2016 began on 7th June, 2016. The holy month shall last for 29 days or 30 days as maximum. As Muslims follow Hijri Calendar, Eid al-Fitr is being celebrated on the first of Shawwal.

Ghulam Rasool, the Director General of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, believes that this year Eid al-Fitr 2016 is likely to fall on 6th July, 2016.

On the occasion of Eid, a six-day holiday will be announced in Pakistan from July 5 to 10, according to The News Teller.
