Hezbollah Denies Its Forces Captured in Syria

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement dismissed reports that some of its forces have been taken prisoner in Syrian.

 

Earlier, some terrorist groups in Syria had claimed they had captured five members of Hezbollah, Al-Alam news network reported.

Hezbollah fighters have been fighting foreign-backed terrorist groups in Syria.

The group says its military role in Syria is aimed at preventing the spillover of the acts of terror in Syria into Lebanon.

Lebanon has been sporadically affected by the foreign-backed militancy in Syria.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL), currently controlling parts of it.
