Iranian Quranic Body Discusses Document for Developing Quranic Research
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Council for Development of Quranic Culture held a meeting on Saturday.
During the session, members of the council discussed and approved the generalities of a draft document for development of Quranic research and higher education.
They, however, decided that some of the details of the documents need to be further studied by the council’s specialized commissions.
The country’s Quranic budget and funds allocated to the Charter of Quranic Culture Development were also on agenda in the session, which was chaired by Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri.
The council called on parliament’s cultural commission to raise the Quranic budget for the next Iranian calendar year (begins on March 21) threefold.
