TEHRAN (IQNA) – Civil rights attorney Tahirah Amatul-Wadud will discuss the “state of affairs” for Muslims in America in light of the current political climate during an event Thursday at the Second Congregational Church in Greenfield, Massachusetts.

The community gathering is sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Franklin County.
Amatul-Wadud is an attorney who runs a law practice with a focus on civil rights and domestic relations law.
She has been a public speaker on aspects of family law, women’s issues, civic engagement, interfaith solidarity, children’s issues, race and religion.
In addition to Amatul-Wadud’s address and a discussion, a Franklin County NuDay Syria campaign to benefit Syrian refugees will be launched during the gathering.
The program is free and open to the public.
