Islamic Iran’s Achievement’s Result of Devotion to Quran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said the victories and achievements of Islamic Iran have come as a result of the nation’s devotion to the Holy Quran.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the national Quran competition for Basij (volunteer) forces in Tehran on Saturday, the senior commander said the accomplishments made in different fields for the Islamic Revolution and the region are the result of acting upon the teachings of the Holy Book.
He also underlined that Basij forces should be exemplary in all areas by acting upon the Quranic teachings.
In order for that, he said, there is need for memorizing and contemplating verses of the Quran.
The 25th edition of the Quran competition for Basij forces of the country was held in Tehran.
Winners were awarded at the closing ceremony, which was attended by a number of senior officials, including the IRGC commander.
