Iraqi Football Players Saying Prayers amid Exercise (+Video)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A video has been released showing players of the Iraqi national football team saying prayers during the practice and training in the UAE.
The Iraqi team has joined 23 other teams in the United Arab Emirates for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
Iraq defeated Vietnam and Yemen in its first two matches in Group D and has already qualified for the next round.
It will face Iran on Wednesday in its third group match.
The 2019 AFC Asian Cup is the 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Asia organized by the Asian Football Confederation.
It is being held in the UAE from January 5 to February 1, 2019.
