Video-Conference Meeting to Discuss Coronavirus Impacts from Religious Point of View

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Beirut, Lebanon, plans to organize a video-conference meeting to discuss the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic from a religious point of view.

 

Titled “Coronavirus: Disputations on Salvation”, it is the third such meeting in a series held under the name of “Coronavirus Debates”.

The concepts of salvation and awaiting the Savior in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic is among the main topics of discussion at the event.

It will be held at 4:30 PM on Friday and broadcast live on the Zoom online platform.

Speakers will include Hojat-ol-Islam Sheikh Muhammad Saeid Numani, an Islamic scholar and researcher who will discuss savior in man’s thought and in Divine books.

Sheikh Ahmed Qais, head of a Quranic studies center, will talk about concerns of contemporary man and questions about returning to religious Fitrat (nature).

Mor Theophilos George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, will speak about awaiting the savior and seeking help from God.

The topic Sheikh Tajeddin al-Hilaly, former Mufti of Australia and New Zealand will discuss is ways of salvation.

Khizr Nabha, a Lebanese university scholar, will be the moderator of the meeting, which will be held in Arabic.
