“Peace is the best option for everyone,” Mahdi al-Mashat said in an interview, SANA reported.
The world has realized that aggressors have been mired in the war on Yemen and, after five years of aggression, must now realize that achieving their goals is impossible, he said.
Mashat added that the Yemeni nation has made great sacrifices and proved that it can protect its independence and national sovereignty.
He called for an end to all kinds of war against Yemen, including military, political and economic, and a halt to interference in the country’s affairs.
Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing back to power the government of former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and crushing the Ansarullah movement.
The military campaign, coupled with a Saudi naval blockade, have killed hundreds of thousands of people and plunged Yemen into the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
