Quranic Competition Planned for Different Age Groups in Egypt
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) plans to organize a competition on Quranic concepts for different age groups.
The ministry said the competition is aimed at enhancing people’s understanding of the concepts of the verses and their purposes and encouraging everyone to contemplate the Quran as well as reading and memorizing it, elnabaa.net website reported.
Participants will answer questions on the concepts of verses in a number of Surahs, including Maryam, Yusuf, Kahf, al-Aaraf, al-Anfal, At-Tawbah, Yunus and Hud.
Top winners of all age groups will receive cash prizes, the ministry said.
It also noted that online registration for the competition started on Sunday and will run for a week.
