Egypt Quran Radio to Air Rare Quran Recitations

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The new director of Egypt’s Quran radio said a special program will be aired by the channel in the near future which features rare Quran recitations by Egyptian Qaris.

 

According to elbalad.news, Reza Abdulsalam is the first person who, despite disabilities in his hands, has been appointed as the director of the radio channel.

He was chosen the best broadcaster of the Quran radio and later named as the channel’s director due to the qualifications he has gained during the 30 years of working in different radio programs.

Abdulsalam told Alroeya that he will try to make sure that new programs be aired by the channel and that he will ask great experts in social sciences of Al-Azhar University and other academic figures of the country to help him in this respect.

He added that the channel will also make use of Arab intellectuals in its programs to clarify Islamic concepts since Islam is a comprehensive religion which should be introduced to all kinds of people.

He said the radio channel disseminates moderate Islam as it was revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the Islam which has nothing to do with extremism and terrorism.

He further said that broadcasting rare Quran recitations which have not been aired by the channel so far, is among his other plans.

He said that Quran recitations will make up 80 percent of the channel’s programs.
